Like the rest of Escambia County Public Schools, Hope Horizon provides each child with their own chromebook for the academic year. These devices are used to access multiple online tools, complete assignments, and administer testing. In addition, students activities are monitored via GoGuardian and are used for a developmentally appropriate amount of time recommended by the Academy of Pediatrics.

G Suite

Students at Hope Horizon utilize a number of G Suite tools such as Docs, Sheets, Forms, Drive, Maps, Classroom, and Mail. Throughout the course of their K-12 career, students are explicitly taught how to use these various tools to support their education. To learn more about these tools, check out Google WorkSpace.

Students at Hope have access to iPads for an assortment of reasons. For most, iPads are used as an additional instructional tool when the teacher chooses to utilize them. For others, they are written into their Individualized Education Program (IEP) in order to be more accessible or help with augmentative or alternative communication (AAC).

The teaching staff at Hope Horizon has campus-wide access to newly installed flat-screen televisions with Airtame streaming devices. Teachers can project their iPads, phones, or computers to allow for the entire class to follow along or access a web-based tool.
