Flexible Seating and Accommodations

In order to maintain compliance with Section 504 (1973), the American's with Disabilities Act (ADA; 1990), and the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA, 2004), we provide students with multiple empirically based accommodations throughout their school day. Examples of the practices we utilize include:
- Wobble seats
- Rocking chairs
- Floor chairs
- Standing Tables
- Yoga Balls
- Bean Bags
- Whiteboard tables
- Sled desks
- Regular chairs
- Bumpy-pads
- Comfy floor seats
- Slant boards
- Visual Supports (e.g., visual schedules, visual cues, picture labels)
- Colored and multisensory timers
- Break spaces (both inside and outside of the classroom)
- Motor room (fine motor and gross motor skill activities)
- Noise cancelling headphones
